Terrifer 4should be the scariest movie in the horror series yet, based on the tease of a new location inTerrifier 3. TheTerrifierfranchise has gotten more intense and ambitious with each new entry. The recently releasedTerrifier 3adopted a Christmas setting and saw the franchise’s serial killer villain, Art the Clown, dress up as Santa Claus to terrorize his victims. Upon the film’s release, there were even reports that severalmoviegoers threw up due toTerrifier 3’sgore.
Based on the level of horror on display inTerrifier 3,there’s no reason to deny thatwriter/director Damien Leonewill heighten the stakes even more in the fourth entry of theTerrifierseries, and the third film already showed how he can do that.Terrifier 3’sendingfeatured a portal to Hell opening up in the floor of the living room. The portal, and more specifically, what fell into the portal, perfectly set the stage forTerrifier 4to be set in Hell.

During the climax ofTerrifier 3, Art the Clown andVictoria Heyes, who was the final girl in the firstTerrifiermovie but has since been possessed by a demon, break into Sienna Shaw’s aunt and uncle’s house while she is asleep. Upon waking up, she discovers that the duo of Art and Vicky have brutally murdered her uncle and tied her aunt to a chair in the living room. Art and Vicky murder Sienna’s aunt in front of her and then threaten to also hurt her younger cousin, Gabbie, unless Sienna allows the demon to also corrupt her own body.
Gabbie manages to hand Sienna the magical sword which she used to kill Art the Clown inTerrifier 2. Using the sword once more, Sienna decapitates Vicky. Vicky’s blood then runs across the living room floor, melts it, and creates a portal to Hell. While Sienna is fighting Art throughout the house, Gabbie ends up falling into the portal. After finally impaling Art with the sword, Sienna uses it to try to pull Gabbie up. However, she fails, andboth Gabbie and the sword fall into Hell.

Since Gabbie was such a prominent character inTerrifier 3, and since the sword has been such an important object in the last two movies in the series,all signs seem to suggest that Sienna will enter Hell inTerrifier 4. While no concrete details aboutTerrifier 4have been revealed yet, connecting the series to Hell and its demons seems to be Leone’s plan. Earlier inTerrifier 3, Sienna and her brother Jonathan discuss how Art the Clown, Vicky, and the Little Pale Girl fromTerrifier 2are no longer human, and are all corrupted by demons.
It is possible that inTerrifier 4, Sienna will have to fight through Hell in search of Gabbie and the sword.
Furthermore, whileTerrifier 3does not include a post-credits scene, the ending does show a woman readingThe 9th Circle.The 9th Circleis a reference toDante’s Inferno, which highlights the different layers of Hell. According toDante’s Inferno,nine “circles” make up Hell, and the ninth circle is where Satan resides. Therefore, it is possible that inTerrifier 4, Sienna will have to fight through Hell in search of Gabbie and the sword.

After the horror franchise included holidays like Halloween and Christmas, Terrifier 4 could take on a brand new holiday that’s teased in Terrifier 3.
Art the Clown has already become an iconic horror movie villain, and Vicky and the Little Pale Girl have also proven themselves to be menacing forces. Therefore, the villains in theTerrifierfranchise will only become scarier if Sienna is forced to face them in Hell. The story of theTerrifierseries is already shrouded in so much mystery, which has successfully intrigued audiences thus far, so settingTerrifier 4in Hell would make the franchise even more interesting and bold.
