The clones have been an integral part ofStar Warsever since they were introduced inStar Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, but some clones are stronger and more powerful than others. The idea of the Clone Wars was initially introduced in theoriginalStar Warsfilm (later renamedA New Hope)when Obi-Wan Kenobi revealed to Luke Skywalker that he had fought with his father in the war. However, that world-building aspect of the original trilogy wouldn’t be officially introduced until 2002.
While the clones were integral in the latter two prequel movies, they really became beloved once George Lucas developed theStar Wars: The Clone Warsanimated television show in 2008. This show introduced audiences to many more clones who would quickly become beloved by audiences. Some of these clones have gone on to be fan-favorites, and have appeared in numerous otherStar Warstitles. So much ofStar Warsanimation has focused on clones, so it’s only fair to see who the most powerful clones are.

The definition of “powerful” in this list goes beyond mere physical strength. The clones below are ranked according to the strength they have in any and all situations, from mental toughness to physical abilities. Some of the most powerful clones could be physically overpowered, but they never let that stop them. With that being said, here are the 12 most powerful clones inStar Wars, from the franchise’s very first clones to some of its most recent additions.
12Jesse (CT-5597)
Last Appeared: Tales of the Jedi Episode 5 “Practice Makes Perfect”
Jesse was introduced as a clone lieutenant for Anakin Skywalker’s 501st Legion. Jesse was also designated as anAdvanced Recon Commando (or ARC trooper). In the final episodes ofThe Clone Wars, Jesse led the 332nd Company after the execution ofOrder 66. Because Jesse was essentially Captain Rex’s right-hand man, he knew much of what the clone captain and Ahsoka Tano were planning.Jesse was nearly able to stop and kill Ahsoka and Rex as they tried to escape.Seeing how much pull and power Jesse had over his brothers in the 332nd makes him a powerful clone.
11Kix (CT-6116)
Kix was another member of the 501st Legion and was the medic who helped aid his brothers when they were injured. After the death of Fives inThe Clone Warsseason 6, Kix investigated what ultimately got his brother killed. Kix eventually discovered the Sith plot to use theclones’ inhibitor chipsto destroy the Jedi. Kix was captured by the Separatists and put into stasis, and Kix would remain frozen for nearly fifty years. Kix was awakened by pirates just before the beginning of theStar Warssequel trilogy and was known as the last clone.
Clone Wars Timeline Explained: When Each Season Takes Place (Including The Bad Batch)
All seven non-chronological seasons of The Clone Wars take place within a three-year period, but where does one year end and the next begin?
It was this drive to protect his brothers as a medic, and his unrelenting fear of investigating what happened to Fives, that made Kix so powerful. While he may not have been a powerhouse on the front lines with his blaster,he was a reliable man to have on the field, always watching over his brothers. Even decades later, after waking from his stasis, Kix adjusted well enough to join the pirates and make a new life for himself. Still, however, a few other clones have beaten him in this area.

10Commander Wolffe (CC-3636)
Wolffe was the trusted commander of Jedi Master Plo Koon’s Wolfpack, also known as the 104th Battalion. Despite knowing much about the latter part of Wolffe’s life from his appearances inStar Wars Rebels, little is known about how he ended up with Rex and Gregor on Seelos. Audiences last saw Wolffe when he worked for the Empire and was sent to capture Omega.Instead of harming his other brothers in Rex and the rest of Clone Force 99, Wolffe let them go. It’s unclear what happened after this incident, but Wolffe likely faced some disciplinary measures from the Empire.
Wolffe’s willingness to do this for his brothers proves his power. Even in such a high-ranking position of influence within the Empire, Wolffe refused to obey an order that would not only see his brothers hurt, but would also put a child like Omega at risk. Wolffe, however, had his moments, such as when he summoned the Empire to Seelos to catch theGhostcrew - but he came to his senses and helped them evade capture. Still, it does cause other clones to outrank him in terms of power.

9Commander Cody (CC-2224)
Commander Codyhas been a fan-favorite clone since he appeared inStar Wars: Episode III -Revenge of the Sithas the leader of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s 212th Division. ThroughoutThe Clone Wars,it became evident how crucial Cody was to the Jedi and his brothers. Cody’s power came because he had the respect of clones and Jedi alike - evenClone Force 99, who were typically wary of regulation “reg” clones.
The last audiences saw Cody, he was working on a mission for the Empire, but soon after, he went AWOL. It’s unknown what happened to Cody, though in a draft ofObi-Wan Kenobi, Cody would’ve been living with Kenobi on Tatooine. Though this didn’t end up happening in the live-action TV show, it does seem to hint towards the fact that Cody does indeed go on to survive fairy deep into the Imperial era.
There were various reasons why this Cody role fell through inObi-Wan Kenobi, but ultimately, the greatest difficulty is that actor Temuera Morrison was actively filmingThe Book of Boba Fettin the titular role at the time.
8Emerie Karr
Dr. Emerie Karr is such a unique clone because she’s one of only two female clones that audiences know of. Not only that, but she’s incredibly smart and was able to help complete some of Nala Se’s research for the Empire. While Emerie often used her intellect for the Empire, she eventually joined her brothers and helped Echo rescue Omega and other children from Mount Tantiss. It’s unclear what happened to Emerie after the events ofStar Wars:The Bad Batch, but it seemed she would be going with Echo and Rex to help other clones escape the Empire.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Voice Cast - What The Actors Look Like In Real Life
Star Wars: The Bad Batch has quite an interesting cast of actors that features multiple Star Wars veterans, as well as a few newcomers.
Her intellect, as well as her motivation to become a better person, makes Emerie very powerful. Tantiss was a terrifying place to be, with an even more horrifying person leading it, and Emerie still did whatever she could to help the children after she learned of their existence. Though it’s true that Emerie should have done more before that point, she lent her help when it truly mattered most, and the fact she’ll continue to gives her a solid rank on this list.
7Crosshair (CT-9904)
Crosshair has become a beloved clone after his character arc inThe Bad Batch. He learned thatbeing a good soldier doesn’t mean blindly following orders, but instead being loyal to the people who are loyal to you. Crosshair’s journey was truly moving, and his willingness to help his brothers and Omega was truly moving - making it one ofDee Bradley Baker’s best performances inStar Wars. Crosshair’s sharp shooting skills have changed greatly since he was first introduced, but since his dominant hand was cut off inThe Bad Batch’s ending, he’s lost them altogether.
Still, however, much of Crosshair’s power has been instilled in his sense of loyalty. Whoever he swears himself to knows they always have a fighter in him, whether it be his squad or the brief time he spent serving the Empire. Despite losing much of his sharpshooting skills because of his hand, this power Crosshair has remains, making him a strong contender on this list.
6Wrecker (CT-9903)
As the physically strongest member of Clone Force 99, Wrecker often does most of the heavy lifting. It was quickly learned that despite Wrecker’s size and strength, he was often the most childlike of his brothers, clinging to a refreshing amount of wonder and enthusiasm. For example, he and Omega often paired up to get sweet treats after their missions.
Despite this, Wrecker was always serious when he needed to be. The strength he exuded when his chip activated on Bracca was frightening, but even more powerful was his eagerness to apologize and make it up to his squad the best he could. There’s no doubt that Wrecker, second to perhaps only Omega in this regard, was the heart of Clone Force 99. It’shiscommitment to Omega and the rest of Clone Force 99 that made him one of the most powerful clones.
5Omega
Omega is an incredibly unique clone because, like Boba Fett, she hadn’t been genetically altered and was essentially a carbon copy of Jango Fett. Despite Omega’s young age and small stature, she proved throughoutThe Bad Batchthat she was more than capable as a member of Clone Force 99. It was Omega who planned her and Crosshair’s initial escape from Mount Tantiss and initiated her second escape in the series finale. Omega having all these skills at such a young age will make her an incredible asset to the Rebellion, which she joins inThe Bad Batch’s epilogue.
How Old Is Omega in Each Season of The Bad Batch?
One major question that was never answered in The Bad Batch was when Omega was born—but we just figured out how old she was throughout the whole show.
While Omega has certainly proven herself to be very physically powerful and capable for her age, what’s perhaps the most powerful about her is her sense of empathy. Omega refuses to leave anyone behind, especially fellow clones, even if it means facing her greatest fears - such as returning to Tantiss to help them. This sense of integrity instilled within her easily makes her one of the most powerful clones, set behind only a few others.
4Hunter (CT-9901)
Despite Hunter looking most like a regulation clone, his ability to sense and track targets is a skill that goes wildly underappreciated.Hunter’s love for his team and Omega, however, is his greatest strength. He’s willing to do anything, including crossing the galaxy multiple times, to look for them. As the de facto leader of Clone Force 99, it only felt right that it was Hunter to catch Omega before she left Pabu inThe Bad Batch’s epilogue. While he ultimately lets her go, it’s great to see that, even at his advanced age, he still holds his power.
What’s perhaps most impressive about Hunter’s power is the way he restrains and controls it. Having enhanced senses is no small feat, but Hunter only uses these skills when necessary, and doesn’t use them for any ill intent. He especially uses them to protect his family, just as he does to hear Omega’s attempt to leave Pabu unnoticed inThe Bad Batch’s epilogue. Hunter seamlessly blends his physical, mental, and emotional strengths together, making him Clone Force 99’s most powerful (original) member.
3Echo (CT-1409)
Echo was initially introduced in the earlier seasons ofThe Clone Warsas a regulation clone who was a part ofDomino Squad. He and Fives were later promoted to ARC Troopers in the 501st. Echo was thought dead after seemingly getting blown up at the Separatist prison, the Citadel, butit was revealed inThe Clone Warsseason 7 that the Techno Union was using Echo’s mind to predict Republic battle strategy.A stealth squad helped save Echo, and it was shown that he had lost both of his legs and one of his arms in the initial explosion.
Echo was essentially turned into a cyborg, and he was able to infiltrate systems just by plugging in. No longer feeling like he belonged with the regulation clones in the 501st, Echo joined Clone Force 99. After learning of Captain Rex’s underground network of clones, Echo left the Bad Batch to help Rex. Despite starting as a regular old clone, Echo unwillingly became one of the most powerful. His ARC Trooper skills paired with his cybernetic enhancements meant that he was a threat on many levels, and his own sense of bravery and courage heightened his skills even more.
