Ratliff Brothers Twist Makes The White Lotus S3 The Most Twisted One Yet

Timothy Ratliff’s Death Fakeouts Are Darker Than Any Of The White Lotus' Real Deaths Have Been

Timothy’s Death Visions Have Become Increasingly Concerning

In both season 1 and season 2 ofThe White Lotus, the deaths have ultimately been in very ironic or even comedic circumstances, but Timothy’s dark visions feel entirely opposite to those. Armond and Tanya’s deaths are built up to in a way that still has hints of sadness, but both definitely have jokes surrounding them. However,Timothy’s visions of death in episode 6 raise far too many real concerns. These sequences are very dramatic and completely change the tone that audiences have been used to throughout the show.

THAT Ratliff Brothers Twist Officially Makes The White Lotus Season 3 The Most Twisted One Yet

The White Lotus season 3 has raised the bar in just about every way compared to previous seasons, especially with its controversial Ratliff brothers.

In particular, Timothy imagining what would happen if he did shoot himself and his family found his body, highlights his mindset around living at that particular moment. Though the horror on Victoria and Piper’s faces arguably does remind him of everything that he would be leaving behind if he went through with the act. Likewise, following his conversation with Victoria earlier in the episode,Timothy’s second vision of killing her and then killing himself shows what a bad place he is inin a way thatThe White Lotushas not really done before.

The White Lotus Season 3’s Shootout Tease Hints At Another Ironic Death

It Seems Unlikely That The Real Death Will Follow Tim’s Imagined Deaths

While Tim’s imagined deaths are definitely disturbing,it is actually this fact that makes me think he is not going to be the one to die inThe White Lotus’s ending. Instead, it would make a lot more sense for the actual death to be more along the lines of the previous seasons' ironic deaths. Tim’s very grim imagined deaths would make the show’s ending too serious, when the moments directly leading to the deaths in past seasons have been some of the weirdest and funniest moments of the entire show.

Especially since Gaitok got the gun back from Timothy in episode 6, it seems unlikely that he will get it again.

The context that audiences have so far about season 3’s death definitely falls more along the lines of those from past seasons. Especially since Gaitok got the gun back from Timothy in episode 6, it seems unlikely that he will get it again. Additionally, there is no confirmation that the person was actually shot, so the death could still end up being a completely unexpected fakeout, more like Tanya in season 2. While Timothy is still far from being in a stable place,The White Lotuslikely won’t end with his death.
