Hellrune takes a primary role inNew Champions, as one of four founding members of the team, alongside Liberty, Cadet Marvel, and Moon Squire. Though allfour of the heroes officially formed the teamafter falling victim to a Hydra scheme that had them kidnapped and brainwashed, Hellrune was the only New Champion without a home and family to return to. With her Norse magic and secret family lineage being teased for the character, Hellrune could possibly be related tosome version of Thor in the Marvel Multiverse, andshould make for a unique addition toThorcomics if explored further, even apart from her new team.
As she establishes herself as perhaps the New Champions' most powerful member, Thor’s new sidekick should get the credit she deserves as an extraordinary new addition to Marvel Comics.

Associated with the mythical realm of Asgard, Thor is a Marvel Comics hero who channels the power of thunder to slay their foes. Though the name is chiefly tied to Thor Odinson, several other characters also take on the role of God of Thunder, including Odinson’s love interest, Jane Foster. Odin is portrayed as a physically imposing hero with incredible strength and typically wields the dwarven forged hammer, Mjolnir.
