A year and a half after the previous installment came to an end,Dark Windsseason 3 is finally back on AMC. Created by Graham Roland, the show continues to follow the Navajo Tribal Police, specifically Zahn McClarnon’s lieutenant, Joe Leaphorn. However, one ofDark Winds' best aspects is its ensemble cast, especially when Leaphorn works alongside Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon) and Bernadette Manuelito (Jessica Matten) in investigating odd crimes and conspiracies around the Navajo reservation.
Dark Windsseason 3’s storywill feature the three core characters, but the dynamic has changed considering Manuelito is now hundreds of miles away, working as a Border Patrol officer. Meanwhile, Chee is back as Leaphorn’s partner after going down the private investigator route last season. Not only will the past come back to haunt both Leaphorn and Chee, but season 3 will also pull them into a wild conspiracy with a supernatural twist.

That said, viewers will be treated to an extended premiere, withDark Windsseason 3, episode 1, coming in at 69 minutes, meaning it won’t end on AMC until 10:09pm ET.
