The Spy Organization May Be Necessary To Combat Manticore

Citadelseason 2is bound to have plenty of twists and turns throughout its story, as the antagonistic Manticore continues to spread its influence across the world. But there are personal revelations Mason will have to grapple with as well, including how he and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra) have a child, despite him now being married to Abby Conroy (Ashleigh Cummings) with a daughter of their own. With the trio being some of the last known operatives who were once part of the titular organization,it remains unclear how they could return after their defeat eight years ago.

This $300 Million Show With An Incredible Cast Remains One Of My Biggest TV Disappointments A Year Later

A megabudget Amazon spy series from the Russo brothers was meant to reinvent the genre, but a year after it debuted I’m still disappointed by it.

However, the franchise’s global shared universe meansthe organization’s potential return could be hinted at in an upcoming spinoff series. TheforthcomingCitadel: Dianawas made in Italy, and will follow spy Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis) after the organization’s destruction. Similarly, the Indian seriesCitadel: Honey Bunnywill showcase a different perspective on the spy group. These additional series could set the stage for their return, potentially including details season 2 can later explore and add into its own thrilling story.

Our Take On Citadel’s Return In Season 2

The Organization Should Come Back

Given the rise of Manticore means their power has spread across the world,it seems only an equivalent organization would be able to keep them in check, much like before. While it wouldn’t be as technologically advanced as it was before,Citadelbringing back its titular spy group during season 2 seems like a necessary step in the fight against their decades-long adversary. Although there’s plenty of character story to get through as well, reforming the group should become a top priority as the series continues.
