For the most part,Marvel Rivalsplayers are likely familiar with the game’s heroes, but there isone notable exception: Luna Snow. In a game populated by some of the biggest name characters in pop culture like Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Iron Man, someMarvel Rivalplayers have been left scratching their heads overprominent healer Luna Snow. Even the game’s other obscure heroes, like Jeff the Land Shark andthe breakout star Squirrel Girl, have appeared in far more Marvel Comics than Luna.
One possible reason why Luna Snow isn’t as well known as otherMarvel Rivalsheroes is her unique origins. Unlike most Marvel heroes,Luna was not originally created for the comics, or even a show or movie in the MCU. It’s not too surprising many are left wondering who she is when she has yet to pop up in any major Marvel projects.

Luna Snow Was Originally Created For A Different Video Game
Luna Snow Was Created For Marvel Future Fight
Luna Snow’s healing powers seem so well-suited for a video game likeMarvel Rivalsbecause she was created for a different video game. During the development of the mobile gameMarvel Future Fight, developer Netmarble wanted a character who was an “ice magician who could both heal and deal damage”, according to one of Luna Snow’s creators, Bill Rosemann, in an interview withComicBook.com. Because Marvel didn’t necessarily have a character that fit the bill,Roseman along with Danny Koo and Min-Kyun Kim created Luna Snow to fill the role.
Other Games Should Learn From Marvel Rivals' New Battle Pass
Marvel Rivals is already making waves in the hero shooter scene, with this minor change giving the game a huge advantage over the competition.
As a South Korean developer, the Netmarble team wanted to create a hero that showed off their culture and that their fans would connect with. This inspired Luna Snow’s alternate identity, Seol Hee, a K-pop idol. While Luna Snow would later appear in several Marvel Comics series and join several teams like the Agents of Atlas, she has yet to star in her own ongoing series. However, Luna does have a unique side project that sets her apart from other Marvel heroes.

Luna Snow Is Marvel’s Multimedia Hero

In an effort to promote her character,Marvel has released five songs attributed to Luna Snow. Marvel has also posted some animated music videos intercut with footage ofMarvel Future Fightfeaturing Luna and her music on the officialMarvel EntertainmentYouTube channel. Luna’s fictional music has been performed by a variety of actual South Korean musical artists, including Hyungseo and Minmin formerly of the group Busters, current Busters member Jieun, and funnily enough, an artist who also goes by the name Luna.
10 Best Marvel Rivals Team-Ups (& How To Perform Them)
With how many team-ups there are in Marvel Rivals, it can be hard to keep track of them all or what’s worth using, but some stand out above the rest.
In addition to her music and appearances inFuture FightandRivals, Luna Snow has also appeared inMarvel SnapandMarvel Super War. While she hasn’t made a big splash in the comics or appeared in the MCU, she does seem to be a popular choice for Marvel’s multimedia projects.
