It honestly looks so much like the design of the Wendigos seen in the game, and would fit with the fact the first killer seen in the trailer is wearing a mask similar to Rami Malek’s Josh from the game. However, I kind of don’t want it to be a Wendigo, as I really liked the way the game built to that reveal with the establishing of that creature’s lore, and it seems like the movie may not take that same route.
Though it’s a stark deviation from the game,the film’s time loop concept makes the movie even more intriguing.One can only wonder how and if the characters can survive until sunrise with so many different kinds of monsters after them.
