WWE 2K25has revealed the details of its season pass, announcing which new characters it’ll release monthly following its March release. Building on itslaunch roster,WWE 2K25will receive a series of DLC character packs throughout the year. Each one will contain a handful of new playable wrestlers, along with the occasional celebrity guest. Barring any surprise superstar announcements (which I wouldn’t totally count out),WWE 2K25’s Season Pass is expected to expand the roster by over 20 characters throughout the remainder of the year.

Players can purchase each ofWWE 2K25’s DLC character packs individually, in case they’re interested in a particular character or theme. However, they can also purchase the Season Pass to gain access to all five packsas soon as they’re released. The Season Pass can be purchased separately (price TBA), but it’s also included with the Deadman and Bloodlineeditions ofWWE 2K25. For now, here’s everything we know aboutWWE 2K25’s planned DLC, including which wrestlers are included in which pack.

TheNew Wave PackisWWE 2K25’s first planned DLC, expected for release in May 2025. It’s also tied for the most stacked DLC, with five characters planned:

This pack is dedicated to new signings: each of the four wrestlers announced for it signed to WWE in 2024, and made their in-ring debuts late that year or in early 2025. It’s likely they just missed the deadline to be included in the game at launch, but will be added later as their roles in real-life WWE expand.

Interview: WWE 2K25 Creative Director Lynell Jinks Talks Record-Breaking Roster & The Island Mode

ScreenRant’s Rob Keyes and Adam Barnard interview Visual Concepts Creative Director Lynell about WWE 2K25 and its new modes, features, and Superstars.

Of course, manyWWE 2Kfans will tremble to see the words “special celebrity guest” on this DLC pack’s roster. It’s certainly giving me flashbacks toWWE 2K24’s awful DLC, which too often focused on adding random celebrities like Post Malone or the co-hosts ofThe Pat McAfee Showinstead of meaningfully expanding its roster of wrestlers. I have to admit, this year’s DLC looks a lot better - there are a couple more celebrity guests and unexpected inclusions, but the grand majority of the DLC characters are actual wrestlers, and there are no packs wasted entirely on non-in-ring celebrities.

Dunk & Destruction Pack

Coming June 2025

Up next is theDunk & Destruction Pack, due out in June 2025. This is probably the most concentrated when it comes to non-wrestlers; it’s also the one we know the least about. Only two playable characters have been confirmed for this second DLC:

The theming is clear here, when it comes to wrestlers:both Abyss and Great Khali are renowned for their incredible strengthand stature, able to cause lots of “destruction” in the ring. That’s just alliterative with “dunk,” which, of course, represents the three NBA stars yet to be announced for this second DLC. It may not be clear what the inspiration behind this pack was, but if nothing else, it might be fun to see how Jokic handles a TLC match against prime Undertaker.

Fearless Pack

Coming July 2025

Then, there’s theFearless Pack, which isexpected to be released in July. This one’s a little more random when it comes to the assortment of wrestlers included: there are superstars old and new, active and retired among its roster.

Still, there are some big names here, which makes this a pretty decent DLC pack. With superstars like Bull Nakano and Penta on the roster, it may not be the most cohesive DLC, but it’s got some bright spots.

Attitude Era Superstars Pack

Coming September 2025

Skipping August, the next DLC is due out in September, when we get our obligatory Attitude Era throwback pack, theAttitude Era Superstars Pack. This one comes with a few big names from the late ’90s - early 2000s era of WWE, characterized by its provocative booking and edgy tone. Included in theAttitude Era Superstars Packare:

There’s a DLC pack like this for everyWWE 2Kgame,but it’s still nice to see the return of some characters who don’t always make the roster. Although Mark Henry’s pretty much a shoo-in, we rarely see Victoria, D’Lo Brown, or Billy Gunn in modernWWEgames.

Saturday Night’s Main Event Pack

Coming November 2025

Our final planned DLC pack forWWE 2K25is theSaturday Night’s Main Event Pack, scheduled for release in November. We’re going back even further in time here, to the mid-80s and early ’90s, the advent of WWE’s weeklySaturday Night’s Main Eventbroadcasts.Since the format has returned, this pack celebrates the superstars who initiatedSaturday Night’s Main Event, and isheadlined by Jesse Ventura.

This marks some superstars' mainline debut in theWWEvideo game series, including Mr. Wonderful. Also known as Paul Orndorff, he signed with the WWF in 1983, where he was managed by “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. With Piper, he went up against Hulk Hogan and Mr. T in a tag team match as the main event at the very firstWrestleMania. He retired permanently in 2000, after which he turned to training, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009.

At the time of writing, that’s all there is to say about2K25’s five DLC packs. It’s unlikely that any more will be announced; this is a pretty typical year for WWE DLC, with five almost-monthly packs coming out over the half-year following the game’s release. It’s definitely an improvement over 2024, with far fewer celebrity guests. Overall, it looks like a pretty good year ahead forWWE 2K25.
