Anna Cathcart Was Thrilled To Be Back On Screen With Noah Centineo For XO, Kitty

“It was very, very cool to be back with him just as a person.”

ScreenRant: Noah Centineo is back as Peter. How exciting is that?

Anna Cathcart: So, so exciting. I honestly still can’t believe this actually happened. I was freaking out when I found out it was confirmed. I was texting Noah being like, “There’s no way this is actually real.” It was very, very cool to be back with him just as a person, but also back in the space of our characters and getting to be on screen together again was so much fun. And just his support for the show and his support for me throughout the years is, honestly, it means so, so much.

Anthony Keyvan: I, unfortunately, did not have any scenes with the guy, but I heard great things and who’s to say what’s to happen in the future? I would love to work with him, but I’m just glad that he was able to come back and make his mark once again on this amazing legacy that he helped create.

Anna Cathcart & Anthony Keyvan Love How Passionate The XO, Kitty Fan Base Is

“They’re making friends over this, or enemies, but they’re interacting over the show and that makes me very excited.”

ScreenRant: What are you most excited for fans to see inXO, Kittyseason 2? Besides the return of Peter.

Anna Cathcart: I was going to say that’s definitely a big one that I’m so excited to see the reaction. I think, I hope that we explore the relationships that they’re so excited about and give the people what they want. I think, truly, throughout shooting, there were moments where I would look at our show runner, Jessica, and be like, they are going to lose their minds. That was such a good feeling.

A reminder that maybe we’re doing this right. We’re doing what we want to make, because the people who care about this show, I think, they’re really going to be pleased. And I cannot wait to see, we were just talking about the fan edits that hopefully are going to be made after season 2, even after the trailer. I can’t wait to see their reactions and just get excited that they’re excited. It’s such a special, surreal feeling.

Anthony Keyvan: I’m also equally excited for that, but I think I’m mostly excited for the fans to meet our new characters. We’ve got a bunch of them this season, and they’ve really added so much to our show and created such an amazing dynamic with all of us. I’m excited for them to be seen because it’s a lot of their first shows ever. So I’m very pumped for them. I’m just really excited for that.

ScreenRant: Speaking of fan edits, do you look at social media and see who people ship?

Anthony Keyvan: Oh yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Anna Cathcart: It’s so hard. It’s just so exciting to see people care this much about the show and about this world and seeing fans speak between fans and battling between themselves like, it definitely needs to be this, or no, you’re wrong.

Anthony Keyvan: Having their own theories.

Anna Cathcart: Yeah. They’re making friends over this, or enemies, but they’re interacting over the show and that makes me very excited. We’ve literally sent each other edits when it’s about Q and Kitty. Like, this is so cute. It’s so, so crazy to me.

Anna Cathcart & Anthony Keyvan Have Brought A Lot Of Themselves To Their XO, Kitty Characters

“I kind of morph the two identities together sometimes.”

ScreenRant: Are you at all like your characters in real life?

Anthony Keyvan: Oh, absolutely. I feel like I bring a lot of myself into how I play Q, and I think we relate a lot on our backgrounds and where we come from. I also think, you were just saying this too, there’s some things that I’ll improv as we’re filming that are so like me, but I’ve embedded it into Q’s DNA. I kind of morph the two identities together sometimes.

Anna Cathcart: It’s so fun to watch those moments. It’s like that was so Anthony, and so Q at the same time. I can see it. I also agree with that. I think I definitely do bring parts of myself into Kitty. There’s so many things that I love about her that some, I feel like, are very similar, and others, I want to learn from her, and embrace more of.

I think we both have very big hearts. I think we both care a lot about a lot of things and love in all kinds of ways and just get very excited and very passionate. I think she’s a little more fearless than me, and sometimes acts on that love in ways that I wouldn’t, but I do think she just has the biggest heart and I admire her for it always.
