The latter half ofThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomfocuses heavily on reaching the Triforce, referred to in the game as the Prime Energy. However, there is also a strong Triforce reference hidden in plain sight throughout the game, first appearing long before the Prime Energy itself is revealed. The inclusion demonstrates just how much thought the developers put into even minor aspects of the game’s design, and can even be considered a fun way to foreshadow the divine artifact’s later importance to the plot.
Echoes of Wisdomsees the Triforce finally returning to a position of prominence in the franchise, even if the widerlore of the Prime Energy and its behavioris somewhat obscured. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that the Triforce does still maintain a more subtle presence in other recent gains. There are hints thatPrincess Zelda may possess the entire TriforceinTears of the Kingdom, for example. However,EoWhas now undoubtedly created one of the strongest Triforce references to date.

Echoes Of Wisdom NPCs Form A Secret Triforce
An Unmistakable Triforce Reference Is Made In The Castle Throne Room
Interestingly, theKing of Hyrule inEchoes of Wisdomand his two advisors can each be seen as representing a part of the Triforce, both in terms of personal attributes and color associations. The King himself, a ruler dressed primarily in red, is a perfect representative of Power. Likewise, the blue-haired, scholarly Minister Lefte can be seen as embodying Wisdom, and the unflinching General Wright, who wears green-trimmed armor, displays plenty of Courage.
Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom’s NPCs Are Even Dumber Than TOTK’s
Most NPCs found throughout Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom don’t seem too quick on the uptake, but it might ultimately be for the betterment of the game.
The Triforce reference is at its most apparent when these NPCs are seen together in the throne room, where they are typically positioned in a triangular formation. But even beyond this, they act in a way befitting their associated Triforce piece. For example, Wright unhesitatingly rescues the people of Castle Town as the rifts threaten to consume them all, a clear display of Courage. In fact, in the absence of Zelda, Link, and Null, they would arguably each have made ideal wielders of the aspects of the Triforce themselves.

The King’s Triforce Only Works From His Perspective
The Royal Trio’s Triforce Appears To Be Reversed
Of course, it should be noted thatfrom the player’s perspective, this Triforce symbolism isn’t entirely perfect. As their names imply, Lefte and Wright stand on the King’s left and right, which to the player places them on the wrong sides of the room. As a result, Courage and Wisdom can be seen represented on the triangular formation’s left and right respectively, when it should actually be the other way around.
Echoes of Wisdom Shines Terrifying New Light On This Zelda Location & Lore
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom’s additions to the Zelda series has wider implications for at least one previous setting’s own lore.
However, this is only from the player’s perspective;to the King of Hyrule, Wisdom and Courage are in the correct order. Even Lefte and Wright’s names can be seen as alluding to this; as well as standing on the King’s left and right, they also embody the left and right sides of the Triforce. Although this does complicate the reference in comparison to similarZeldasecrets, such asThe Wind Waker’s own hidden Triforce image, the clear level of detail is still proof that the parallels to the Triforce are far from coincidental.

The way the King of Hyrule and his closest allies form their own Triforce shows how much thought has been put into crafting the world ofEchoes of Wisdom. The obvious directional puns of Minister Lefte and General Wright’s names are only the tip of the iceberg, and the additional layer of meaning makes their designs all the more interesting. The Prime Energy may be the most obvious expression of the Triforce inThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, but this smaller representation of the divine artifact is a fun addition to the game in its own right.
